Spring Open Enrollment ends April 30th!
We are pleased to offer Northwestern students and their families insurance plans provided by Delta Dental of Illinois and Chubb Insurance. You are eligible to enroll in the Delta Dental PPO or DeltaCare DHMO plan, DeltaVision plan, and the NU – Supplement Accident and Sickness plan. You do not need to participate in the Northwestern University Student Health Insurance Plan (NU-SHIP) to enroll in one of these plans.
Open Enrollment Periods
- Fall: August 1st – October 1st, 2020 (plan effective September 1st)
- Spring: February 1st – April 30th, 2021 (plan effective March 1st)
You must enroll during one of the open enrollment periods. However, if you have a qualifying life event you may be eligible for a special enrollment. Please refer to our F.A.Q. page for more information.

DENTAL INSURANCE
You may enroll in the PPO Plan with access to dentists nationwide or the DeltaCare DHMO Plan with access to dentists in Illinois. The DeltaCare DHMO covers orthodontics.
VISION INSURANCE
The DeltaVision plan uses the EyeMed network and includes in-network access to local providers, popular retail chains, and online ordering options through Contacts Direct and Glasses.com.
ACCIDENT INSURANCE
The Accident and Sickness Hospital Indemnity Insurance provides cash benefits for certain accidental injuries, hospitalizations or unexpected expenses related to a hospitalization.
